Did you know that a clogged dryer vent not only means your clothes will take too long to dry, but it’s costing you money? At a rate of $0.15 per kWh, every 40 minute drying cycle of a 5000 watt dryer costs $0.50! The lint that accumulates in the ventilation system not only reduces your dryer’s efficiency, but is also highly combustible.  A clogged dryer vent costs you money in energy efficiency and is a serious fire hazard.  Our dryer vent cleaning service is a cost effective way to eliminate the unnecessary expense of extended drying times and keep your family safe from the risk of fire.
Over time, your dryer vent fills with lint that sneaks by your dryer vent filter. Fires can occur when lint builds up in the clothes dryer or the duct. Lint can block the flow of air, cause excessive heat buildup, and result in a fire in some dryers. ISOLATED INCIDENT? Not at all. In 1997 The Consumer Product Safety Commission  estimated that over 15,000  fires occur each year causing an estimated 194 Million Dollars of property loss and 130 deaths.
If your air ducts have been damaged, you’ll need to replace them. The national average air duct replacement cost is $150-$280, which may not include materials. Factors such as duct material, labor, location of ducts and linear feet of ductwork will all affect your final costs. Labor costs will vary based on how accessible the ducts are and what material your ducts are made of. The least expensive duct material is a flexible, non-metallic ducting that costs approximately $1-$2 per linear foot. Flexible aluminum is generally more expensive and stronger than non-metallic ducting. Stainless steel ducting is the strongest, the least flexible (meaning installing it typically has higher labor rates), and usually the most expensive. An average price for air duct replacement could range between $35 and $55 per linear foot, including basic materials and labor. A typical single-family home has 6-10 duct runs; replacing or installing one duct run could average $150-$250 for labor.

As your dryer vent becomes clogged, drying time gradually increases. While you may not notice the extra few minutes at first, the drying cycle will continue to take longer as the vents become more clogged until you eventually have to run a second cycle in order to dry clothes completely. You can reclaim your time that would be lost to extended or repeated drying cycles by having a Dryer Vent Wizard clean your vents!

Good, genuine company with lots of experience! I used Elite AC to replace an old unit for my grandmothers house. I don't know much about air conditioning so it was good to work with a trustworthy company who matched our needs from a financial standpoint and installed the unit promptly so my grandmother didn't have to deal with the heat. I worked with Joey who explained our options and helped us make a quick and informed decision. My grandmother loved him and asks how he is doing still. I'm happy he took the time to help us and we will continue to use them for any of our AC needs.

Air McCall’s comprehensive Duct Cleaning process includes the use of a fogging machine to sanitize your duct system with an all-natural biocide that is harmless to you and your family, and your pets as well. Most companies use a sprayer (not a fogging machine) to try to sanitize the duct system but the sprayers are not effective to treat the entire duct system.

Mold in the air ducts can be an easy DIY fix. First, turn OFF your HVAC system. Find an approved cleaning solution. Pour or spray the solution on the infected area. Put on protective gear and a mask - you do not want to make contact with the mold (or chemicals! or breathe it in. Scrub the area using disposable towels or brushes, and be sure to check the drip pan and evaporator coils. Vacuum the affected areas after cleaning. Bag all your rags and utensils and dispose of properly. Apply an inhibitor to the affected areas to prevent future growth. It is recommended to call a professional if you have more than 10 square feet of mold as this may be too big of a job, or there might be other/larger issues. Even if you don’t have more than 10 square feet of mold, you can still call a professional to clean it up.

"So My A.C. suddenly went belly up and I needed a total brand new unit inside and out. So a little background on myself. I'm an engineer, so I know a little bit about A.C. and how they work. I'm by no means an expert, but it does allow me to detect if the A.C. guy knows his stuff, especially if they don't know what I do. 😉 And I'm happy to say, these guys do. One of the things that helped me chose them is that they brought up the importance of controlling humidity. None of the other contractors I spoke to, mentioned that. I also appreciate the fact that he didn't try to "up sell" me and get me to buy things I didn't need. He was on time, honest and forth coming about what I needed and what I didn't. When the workers came, they were on time, very professional and very CLEAN. After they left, I couldn't tell they had been there. Highly recommended this service."
