We use Rotobrush aiR+ professional air duct cleaning equipment (rotary brush and vacuum) and believe very strongly that this is the best equipment to clean the air ducts in your home. Our equipment features a camera system so that if you would like, you can see what we are doing as we are doing it. The Rotobrush aiR+ is designed specifically to handle the soft, flexible ducts in homes in the South. We are able to clean air ducts by inserting the rotating brush into the duct. With the brush rotating at 450 rpm, it loosens any debris that may be stuck inside. While the brush is scrubbing the walls, the vacuum sucks up the debris, leaving your air ducts clean.
Our technique cleans your entire dryer vent system twice – once from the outside and once from the inside – so you can be sure the job has been done right. According to dryer manufacturers, your dryer vent must be producing about 96 cubic feet of air per minute at a velocity of 1100 feet per minute in order for your dryer to be operating efficiently and safely. We test your system using a sophisticated thermo-anemometer to be sure that you are getting the proper air velocity and volume at the vent cap.
Chances exist that lint that has in fact been restricting the exhaust vent over a prolonged time period can cause overheating which in turn can cause a fire. The establish of lint that occurs over a prolonged amount of time is not merely a fire threat, it is also a clothing dryer problem that gradually steals the energy efficiency of the clothes dryer and gradually cost you significantly more money.

Another valuable service that can be offered to you after the HVAC system has been cleaned is anti-microbial fogging. The name of this service is impressive, but the service itself is quite simple. A small chemical fogger is used to introduce chemicals into the ductwork system, chemicals that sanitize germs, bacteria and fungus. EPA-registered chemicals specifically for use in ductwork systems are available that do not require the evacuation of family members and pets from the occupied space while the chemical is being used. We simply add the liquid chemical to the fogger, and fog the supply ducts before replacing the registers. Then turn the central fan on, and fog through the return duct, with the HVAC system's fan helping to distribute the chemical throughout the system. The best news is that fogging can be repeated every 6 months, while system cleaning is at best required every couple of years. Antimicrobial fogging is a simple service that provides real benefits to our customers.

Negative pressure air duct cleaning is a process in which the ducts are cleaned by hand in concert with compressed air tools to dislodge dirt and debris, which is then vacuumed up and removed. It is considered a superior cleaning method in its efficiency and in preventing dislodged debris from escaping the ducts and contaminating the air in the residence.
Okay let me start by saying I went to Abaco air solely off of their Google reviews thinking that they're a trustworthy company. I called them out just to service my AC that was working fine but just wanted to make sure everything was good and clean before the hot summer and to give me correct measurements on the air filter I need for my AC unit which is an odd size. I paid a service fee then and he said everything was good except for a little dirt on the coil but nothing that had to be done right away. Soon after my AC was serviced the AC unit started acting up and wasn't cooling the house during the day. I contacted them a couple days later and they told me they've been having a lot of calls like this and that it's probably just because it's really hot and to just give it time. I said okay I'll call back in a couple days. I've called several times and they said to check this check that and I did everything they said and still continue to not cool down the house. So finally I get somebody back out today and they said the AC unit was froze up and that it was filthy dirty and needed to be clean and the freon need to be charged so not only did I have to pay another service fee I had to pay $350 to clean it $250 for Freon and $100 service fee mind you I just paid a service fee three weeks prior of $120. I feel like had it been serviced the first time correctly I wouldn't have had to pay the $250 freon and another $100 service fee not to mention my electricity bill is going to be extremely high because the AC has been running nonstop trying to cool the house down. I'm trying to do all this from a hospital that I've been in for the past seven weeks so I go on Google to find a trustworthy company thinking I found one and then this happens. I have other children at home and I'll be bringing my husband home from the hospital soon so I have to make sure that the house is cool. I had no choice but to pay it. I will never use Abaco again and will tell all my friends to stay clear of them. When I contacted them about what's happened all I get is it must have been a miscommunication. Well that miscommunication cost me well over $400 more then what I should've had to pay to begin with. I paid $120 the first time they came out and $695 today. That's a lot of money for somebody that hasn't worked in seven weeks and will be out for another 30 days and my husband hasn't work because he's in the hospital from a motorcycle accident and won't be able to work again for a long time if ever. I'm not trying to get the job done free but feel like I could've avoided the additional costs had it been done right the first time. It kinda makes me think they did something the first time to have to come back and charge me a ridiculous amount to fix it because they know people need their AC right now as hot as it is outside. Lesson learned I will never use Abaco again.
Terrible! He came out and I thought he was very professional and talked a good game plan. He ordered a new CLOPAY door almond with windows for us on June 22, 2018. He sent two men out to install it a week later. They were here 5 hours and when it was done it had no windows. We had to let them install the top without windows in order to open and close garage. They said they would be here in morning and didn't come until late afternoon. Never put the garage door opener on so we were opening and closing manually for a couple of days. Then owner Robert Gaffney who we had been working with all along came out at 9:30 p.m and hooked up opener for us. He told us he had ordered the door top with windows from distributor but then every week had another excuse as to why it didn't come. After 1 and 1/2 months we called distributor direct. He said he never had ordered the door. We told Robert not to come back. The distributor who knew we had already paid Robert $1100.00 said he would pay for the door and installer for us. He then contacted Associated Doors Inc. who came right out and ordered everything including trim which Robert had removed from around the door. Had to wait another 2 weeks for it to come in but then Denny with Associated Doors Inc. came back and did a beautiful and professional job.

From our salesmen Scott to our installers Eric, Johnny and Tim, we couldn't have asked for a more professional, knowledgeable team to do our AC replacement. From the beginning, Scott the made the whole experience easy with his knowledge and understanding of our needs and concerns. I would definitely recommend Waychoff's, Scott and our installers to anyone that is in need of either a service, maintenance or like us, a replacement of a aging and failing ac system in their home. Couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience and quality of equipment. Do yourself a favor, don't call anyone else but Waychoff's for and AC service needs.
"Our electric bill has dropped around seventy dollars a month and that is with the a/c set at 76 degrees. I know it will be lower next summer since I am now taking advantage of the energy start setting the thermostat has. Also our son's coughing at night has stopped and I think it is due in part to the clean air effects filtration system that we got when we purchased the system. We are very happy with our new A/C system. Also we got a refund from Clay electric for having a 17 SEER system and we will get to write some off on our taxed next year."
Nowadays most homes have a central air system with connecting air ducting to move conditioned indoor air throughout the home. Over time, the air system and the connecting air ducting will accumulate dust and other contaminates, which can cause circulation of dirty and polluted indoor air through your home. Out-of-sight and out-of-mind health items that we don’t think much about are dirty air system and air ducts which could be the unhealthiest item in our home.
If your air ducts have been damaged, you’ll need to replace them. The national average air duct replacement cost is $150-$280, which may not include materials. Factors such as duct material, labor, location of ducts and linear feet of ductwork will all affect your final costs. Labor costs will vary based on how accessible the ducts are and what material your ducts are made of. The least expensive duct material is a flexible, non-metallic ducting that costs approximately $1-$2 per linear foot. Flexible aluminum is generally more expensive and stronger than non-metallic ducting. Stainless steel ducting is the strongest, the least flexible (meaning installing it typically has higher labor rates), and usually the most expensive. An average price for air duct replacement could range between $35 and $55 per linear foot, including basic materials and labor. A typical single-family home has 6-10 duct runs; replacing or installing one duct run could average $150-$250 for labor.
Make sure that the company has the proper equipment and enough HEPA filtered vacuum power (2,000 CFMs or more), to properly clean your air ducts. Be weary of companies that use small vacuum units that have a small rotating brush on the end of a small vacuum hose with a typical airflow of 150 to 300 cfm or less. Proper air duct cleaning vacuums are negative air machines with 2,000 CFMs have 8 inch to 14 inch or larger, vacuum hoses to capture large quantities of dust and debris.
Make certain that the business has the correct devices and sufficient HEPA filtered vacuum power (2,000 CFMs or more), to appropriately clean your duct. Be tired of business that utilizes little vacuum systems that have a little turning brush on completion of a little vacuum hose with a normal air flow of 150 to 300 cfm or less. Appropriate duct cleaning vacuums are damaging air devices with 2,000 CFMs have 8 inches to 14 inches or bigger, vacuum hoses to record big amounts of dust and particles.
We have a small older home that has 5 same floor registers. We recently put in a new furnace and they suggested we get the ducts blown out. One seems to be particularly blocked. I also own the house next door where we put in the identical furnace. I might want to do that house as well, depending on the price of the first house. Thank you very much.
