Okay let me start by saying I went to Abaco air solely off of their Google reviews thinking that they're a trustworthy company. I called them out just to service my AC that was working fine but just wanted to make sure everything was good and clean before the hot summer and to give me correct measurements on the air filter I need for my AC unit which is an odd size. I paid a service fee then and he said everything was good except for a little dirt on the coil but nothing that had to be done right away. Soon after my AC was serviced the AC unit started acting up and wasn't cooling the house during the day. I contacted them a couple days later and they told me they've been having a lot of calls like this and that it's probably just because it's really hot and to just give it time. I said okay I'll call back in a couple days. I've called several times and they said to check this check that and I did everything they said and still continue to not cool down the house. So finally I get somebody back out today and they said the AC unit was froze up and that it was filthy dirty and needed to be clean and the freon need to be charged so not only did I have to pay another service fee I had to pay $350 to clean it $250 for Freon and $100 service fee mind you I just paid a service fee three weeks prior of $120. I feel like had it been serviced the first time correctly I wouldn't have had to pay the $250 freon and another $100 service fee not to mention my electricity bill is going to be extremely high because the AC has been running nonstop trying to cool the house down. I'm trying to do all this from a hospital that I've been in for the past seven weeks so I go on Google to find a trustworthy company thinking I found one and then this happens. I have other children at home and I'll be bringing my husband home from the hospital soon so I have to make sure that the house is cool. I had no choice but to pay it. I will never use Abaco again and will tell all my friends to stay clear of them. When I contacted them about what's happened all I get is it must have been a miscommunication. Well that miscommunication cost me well over $400 more then what I should've had to pay to begin with. I paid $120 the first time they came out and $695 today. That's a lot of money for somebody that hasn't worked in seven weeks and will be out for another 30 days and my husband hasn't work because he's in the hospital from a motorcycle accident and won't be able to work again for a long time if ever. I'm not trying to get the job done free but feel like I could've avoided the additional costs had it been done right the first time. It kinda makes me think they did something the first time to have to come back and charge me a ridiculous amount to fix it because they know people need their AC right now as hot as it is outside. Lesson learned I will never use Abaco again.

My heat pump unit was not working, though the handler and thermostat were fine. I did a little testing myself and determined that the low pressure switch was triggered, then called Waychoff's without having told them anything about what I did (sort of a test to see if they'd try to sell me something I didn't need). Eric showed up 30 minutes early to the appointment (a pleasant surprise), and immediately got to work. Within 10 minutes he told me I had no coolant which triggered the low pressure sensor which meant there was a leak. He inspected the handler inside and then told me he needed to do a nitrogen pressure test to find the leak. 10 minutes after that he showed me the hissing leak in the heat pump, proving that there was in fact a leak. He brazed/welded it shut, re-tested to confirm, then filled the unit with coolant. 60 minutes later I'm back in business and my heat pump is working great. I liked that Eric was 100% honest about the issue and how to fix, and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. He also worked with me on the coolant charges, since they tend to mark it up quite a bit. Overall a good experience - I'd use them again for sure. They're a little bit pricey, but for the quality, honesty, and knowledge it's worth paying.
I could not be happier with the service I received from Jason Hester. He was a consummate professional and thoroughly explained the issues I had with my AC unit. I never felt I was being sold on any service. I have used other AC companies in the past, but will now call Waychoff's AC for all my future needs.
