Under normal conditions, standard-use residential ducts (HVAC systems) should be cleaned every three to five years. Usage, system age and condition, local air quality, and number of residents and pets can affect cleaning frequency needs. Harsher conditions might require cleaning as often as every two years. Obviously, if your system is not functioning properly or the output air quality is bad, consult a professional sooner rather than later to get a proper diagnosis.
My A/C broke down so I called Waychoff's A/C to find out their terms and conditions and time frame for installation. It was really fast and professional service. I got price quite on front and installation took place next day. I have to say that installation crew Tim and Joe did very professional and attention to smallest detail job. It was very impressive. If someone interested - they provided military discount, 12 month financing with 0% through WellsFargo. Everything was done within 24 hours. A/C works good for now and it is very nice to have new one in our house. The garage unit is very quite!
Anyone who has ever seen the amount of lint that can come out of a dryer venting system during a professional cleaning would not hesitate for even a second to schedule an annual dryer vent cleaning. Dryer lint build-up is one of the most common causes of house fires, but because the dryer vent is hidden from view, it is too easy to put out of mind. However, there can be an immense amount of lint jammed inside your dryer’s venting pipe. A highly-combustible material, lint can become a very real fire hazard. The chimney professionals at Hudson Chimney have also seen blockages in dryer exhaust vents from nests of small animals and insects and damages to the venting system or an improper connection. A compromised vent will not exhaust properly to the outside. Accumulated lint can lead to reduced airflow and this can cause overheating which could easily start a fire. Most people assume that their dryer’s lint trap does a good enough job when it comes to catching lint, and while it generally does, “good enough” has not been enough for some. U.S. fire departments report an estimated 2,900 clothes dryer fires in residential buildings each year, causing an estimated 5 deaths, 100 injuries and $35 million in property loss.
Keeping your air ducts clean provides many benefits to you and your home, first and foremost being greatly improved indoor air quality. Dirty air can bog down your home, but a clean air-duct system eliminates these problems. Clean air ducts can also improve the energy efficiency of your HVAC system. Contaminants in the air ducts can lead your heating and cooling system to work harder and shorten its lifespan. Clean HVAC systems use less energy and therefore cost less money out of your pocket. Higher indoor air quality keeps your HVAC system free of corrosion and protects your HVAC investment.
"Over Labor Day weekend at 8pm our A/C system went down -- permanently! Our normal AC company was not working and so we went through the phone book and found Waychoff's! It was unbelievable that one of your employees came to our home at 10PM at no extra charge! On Labor Day the Waychoff's team installed the Trane. They were professional, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, humorous and extremely likeable. They even brought in cardboard boxes in order to keep my carpet clean. Installation went so fast! They really earned their money, and I assure you that they are not wasting yours. They educated us about the A/C Systems and SEER score. They were great teacher and we learned a lot that day. They assisted us in financing and we were surprised at the monthly payments which were much lower than we expected. The rep from the finance company called us and he was just pleasant and professional as the crew. Later in the week they returned with our 2 rebate forms already filled out and ready to sign! WOW! that kind of service is that! All in all, we are very happy with everything and this house is COLD! We are happy to endorse Waychoff's!"

We don't compete with service and repair companies, we compliment their existing businesses. Jax Vents is not in the dryer repair business, we are in the vent cleaning business. Most dryer malfunction is caused by lint buildup or inadequate ventilation, and when service personnel can't find a problem with the machine, it is definitely a vent problem that we can solve. We work together with the sales, service, and repair companies to maintain customer satisfaction and everybody wins.
Since your dryer has to blow exhaust air out through the ducts, the shorter the ductwork, the better. The total recommended length is normally less than 25 feet from the back of your dryer to the outside vent cover. If the duct has bends and turns, it should be an even shorter distance. The more turns, and the further the distance, the harder your dryer must work to move exhaust air and loose lint. A clogged dryer vent means:

"Our electric bill has dropped around seventy dollars a month and that is with the a/c set at 76 degrees. I know it will be lower next summer since I am now taking advantage of the energy start setting the thermostat has. Also our son's coughing at night has stopped and I think it is due in part to the clean air effects filtration system that we got when we purchased the system. We are very happy with our new A/C system. Also we got a refund from Clay electric for having a 17 SEER system and we will get to write some off on our taxed next year."
Nowadays most houses have a central air conditioning system linking air ducting to move conditioned indoor air throughout the house. Gradually, the air system and the linking air ducting will collect dust and other contaminants, which can trigger the blood circulation of unclean and contaminated indoor air through your house. Out-of-sight and out-of-mind health products that we do not believe much about are filthy air system and a duct which could be the unhealthiest product in our house.

If your air ducts have been damaged, you’ll need to replace them. The national average air duct replacement cost is $150-$280, which may not include materials. Factors such as duct material, labor, location of ducts and linear feet of ductwork will all affect your final costs. Labor costs will vary based on how accessible the ducts are and what material your ducts are made of. The least expensive duct material is a flexible, non-metallic ducting that costs approximately $1-$2 per linear foot. Flexible aluminum is generally more expensive and stronger than non-metallic ducting. Stainless steel ducting is the strongest, the least flexible (meaning installing it typically has higher labor rates), and usually the most expensive. An average price for air duct replacement could range between $35 and $55 per linear foot, including basic materials and labor. A typical single-family home has 6-10 duct runs; replacing or installing one duct run could average $150-$250 for labor.

A round, flexible exhaust tube at the back of your dryer connects to the wall and sends hot, moist air outdoors. As your heated clothes tumble in the hot air, lint (tiny bits of the cotton or other fibers that make up your clothing) come off the fabric. Most of these fibers end up in the lint trap as the exhaust air passes through it. You can usually access the lint trap inside the dryer door or on top of the dryer.

"I was very pleased with the professional service I received. Despite the engineering challenges and heat, your team did a great job with installation and maintained a professional attitude through the 12-hour ordeal. I will not hesitate to recommend Waychoff's to our friends and neighbors. So far, we are very satisfied with the system and the results."

Terrible! He came out and I thought he was very professional and talked a good game plan. He ordered a new CLOPAY door almond with windows for us on June 22, 2018. He sent two men out to install it a week later. They were here 5 hours and when it was done it had no windows. We had to let them install the top without windows in order to open and close garage. They said they would be here in morning and didn't come until late afternoon. Never put the garage door opener on so we were opening and closing manually for a couple of days. Then owner Robert Gaffney who we had been working with all along came out at 9:30 p.m and hooked up opener for us. He told us he had ordered the door top with windows from distributor but then every week had another excuse as to why it didn't come. After 1 and 1/2 months we called distributor direct. He said he never had ordered the door. We told Robert not to come back. The distributor who knew we had already paid Robert $1100.00 said he would pay for the door and installer for us. He then contacted Associated Doors Inc. who came right out and ordered everything including trim which Robert had removed from around the door. Had to wait another 2 weeks for it to come in but then Denny with Associated Doors Inc. came back and did a beautiful and professional job.

My A/C stopped working on Sunday afternoon, the repair tech was there within the hour. He was very friendly and explained the problem and the cost. I decided it was time to replace the system which was ten years old. The estimator was there in no time, looked over my home and the system and gave us several options. We decided on a system, and it was installed and working at 2:30 on Monday. Highly recommend Waychoff's!
Duct Cleaning provided by Waychoff’s Air Conditioning is one of the most sought-after air duct cleaning services in Jacksonville, FL. Our duct cleaning services help remove and eliminate the pollutants in your home air conditioning duct system. They can cause allergies, stale odors in your home, extra dust and even sickness. Over time these pollutants, mold, and bacteria from dirt, pollen, tobacco, smoke, pet hair and dust mites in the ductwork of your home’s heating and cooling system. Every time your furnace or air conditioner runs, these particles whisk through the vents and spew from your ducts into the air your family breathes.

Make use of a business that will offer a reasonable quote, based upon the service that they will offer. Be tired of business that market one cost for an entire home. Consider it, would a painter paint any size home for one low price? Neither can a duct cleaner PROPERLY clean the entire home, no matter the number of systems or air vents remain in the house for one low price.

Okay let me start by saying I went to Abaco air solely off of their Google reviews thinking that they're a trustworthy company. I called them out just to service my AC that was working fine but just wanted to make sure everything was good and clean before the hot summer and to give me correct measurements on the air filter I need for my AC unit which is an odd size. I paid a service fee then and he said everything was good except for a little dirt on the coil but nothing that had to be done right away. Soon after my AC was serviced the AC unit started acting up and wasn't cooling the house during the day. I contacted them a couple days later and they told me they've been having a lot of calls like this and that it's probably just because it's really hot and to just give it time. I said okay I'll call back in a couple days. I've called several times and they said to check this check that and I did everything they said and still continue to not cool down the house. So finally I get somebody back out today and they said the AC unit was froze up and that it was filthy dirty and needed to be clean and the freon need to be charged so not only did I have to pay another service fee I had to pay $350 to clean it $250 for Freon and $100 service fee mind you I just paid a service fee three weeks prior of $120. I feel like had it been serviced the first time correctly I wouldn't have had to pay the $250 freon and another $100 service fee not to mention my electricity bill is going to be extremely high because the AC has been running nonstop trying to cool the house down. I'm trying to do all this from a hospital that I've been in for the past seven weeks so I go on Google to find a trustworthy company thinking I found one and then this happens. I have other children at home and I'll be bringing my husband home from the hospital soon so I have to make sure that the house is cool. I had no choice but to pay it. I will never use Abaco again and will tell all my friends to stay clear of them. When I contacted them about what's happened all I get is it must have been a miscommunication. Well that miscommunication cost me well over $400 more then what I should've had to pay to begin with. I paid $120 the first time they came out and $695 today. That's a lot of money for somebody that hasn't worked in seven weeks and will be out for another 30 days and my husband hasn't work because he's in the hospital from a motorcycle accident and won't be able to work again for a long time if ever. I'm not trying to get the job done free but feel like I could've avoided the additional costs had it been done right the first time. It kinda makes me think they did something the first time to have to come back and charge me a ridiculous amount to fix it because they know people need their AC right now as hot as it is outside. Lesson learned I will never use Abaco again.
Use a company that will provide a fair quote, based on the service that they will provide. Be weary of companies that advertise one price for a whole house. Think about it, would a painter paint any size house for one low price? Neither can an air duct cleaner PROPERLY clean the WHOLE house, no matter how many systems or air vents are in the home for one low price.

If you’ve been noticing more dust around the house or worsened allergies, it may be time to have your air ducts cleaned. While it’s recommended to change your air filters regularly, professional air duct cleaning only needs to be done once every five to seven years. More effective and prolonged results from air duct cleaning can be attained by having a whole-home air cleaner installed.

Clean air can ensure healthy living and might likewise decrease reactionary signs due to bad indoor air quality. The first step is to clean the lint trap after every load of laundry. By doing this simple cleaning regularly, you will avoid 90% of dryer vent problems. You should perform extensive cleaning annually, or sooner if you suspect a problem. Unplug your dryer and pull it out from the wall, then disconnect the exhaust tube from the dryer and the wall, and clean it with a vacuum.
I was very pleased with the service provided by Jeff. He was very professional, communicated with me very promptly when scheduling and prior to arriving for the appointment and arrived exactly as scheduled. He worked very efficiently and explained everything to me during the process. My laundry room was left spotless after he completed the job. Jax Vents offered the best price of several vendors that I contacted prior to hiring them. I would very strongly recommend Jax Vents for dryer vent cleaning and plan to have them return when the vent needs cleaning again.
2 major problems:They had to return 3 times to fix the installation of a new A/C and then I still had to fix another problem after they left. I also had to explain to the technician the difference between a parallel and series electrical installation when he was installing the automatic cut off switches. They also insist on you buying an annual maintenance package, that can cost up to $ 300 per year, even after they sell you a 10 year parts and labor warranty and if you don't buy it, then they put you at the back of the service list when you call for a repair.Avoid this company. There are so many to choose from that this should not even be on your list.
Be cautious with companies that offer “whole house air duct cleaning,” urges the NADCA. The company may be using unscrupulous tactics to upsell you once they get started. Before any work begins, always clarify in writing what the job entails and what the cost will be. To protect yourself against fraud, read customer reviews and verify that your HVAC cleaning service has applicable licenses and certifications.
These are business who are more thinking about getting your cash, through deceptive ads or mailers than really doing the work appropriately and enhancing your indoor air. The really even worse thing you can do is to employ a business that might really develop more of an indoor air issue for you and your household due to incorrect cleaning or usage of inferior duct cleaning vacuums without any more vacuum power than a big Wet/Dry vacuum with a turning brush connected at the end of the hose, or make use of a who is not effectively accredited or accredited to clean air systems. Be specifically suspicious of business promoting the low one cost duct cleaning company, it’s like offering one cost to paint the outside of your house whether it be 1 story or numerous stories high.
